These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern the use of the Jaweb mobile application (the "App") and the website jawebapp.org (together, the "Service"), provided by:

By downloading or using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you obtain the App through the Apple App Store or Google Play, the respective store terms apply in addition.

Jaweb is a trivia game offering single-player rounds, a local pass-and-play mode ("Table Challenge") and online multiplayer rooms, with content available in Arabic and English (and further languages as released). Core gameplay is free of charge. Certain content packs may be offered as optional paid upgrades (Section 5).

Online features (multiplayer rooms, cross-device progress, purchases) require a free account. You must provide accurate information, keep your credentials confidential and are responsible for activity under your account. You may delete your account at any time, which terminates the contract for online features. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms (Section 4), subject to prior notice where reasonable.

When using the Service, you must not:

• use offensive, deceptive or rights-infringing usernames;
• harass other players or disrupt multiplayer games;
• use cheats, bots, automation or exploit bugs to gain unfair advantage;
• attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its infrastructure;
• extract, scrape or redistribute the question database or other content.

Optional content packs can be purchased as in-app purchases. The purchase contract is concluded and payment is processed via the Apple App Store or Google Play; prices including VAT are shown in the store before purchase. Purchased packs are linked to your account and remain available after reinstalling the App.

Consumers' right of withdrawal: for digital content delivered immediately, you expressly consent at the time of purchase to immediate performance and acknowledge that your statutory right of withdrawal expires once the content has been delivered (Art. 16(m) Directive 2011/83/EU; § 356(5) German Civil Code (BGB)). Refund requests are otherwise handled by Apple or Google under their store policies.

The App, its design, software, question content, names and logos are protected by copyright and other intellectual property rights of EB-Net or its licensors. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the App for private, non-commercial purposes on devices you own or control.

We aim for high availability of online features but do not guarantee uninterrupted operation; maintenance, updates and factors outside our control may cause temporary limitations. We may develop the Service further (e.g. add or modify game modes and content) and may discontinue free features with reasonable advance notice. Features already paid for will not be removed without compensation.

We are liable without limitation for damage caused intentionally or by gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health, and under the German Product Liability Act. For slight negligence we are liable only for breaches of essential contractual obligations (obligations whose fulfilment makes the proper performance of the contract possible in the first place and on whose fulfilment you may regularly rely), limited to the foreseeable damage typical for this type of contract. Any further liability is excluded. This does not affect mandatory statutory consumer rights.

We are neither obliged nor willing to participate in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board within the meaning of the German Act on Alternative Dispute Resolution in Consumer Matters (VSBG).

These Terms are governed by German law, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. If you are a consumer habitually resident in another EU member state, the mandatory consumer protection provisions of that state remain unaffected (Art. 6 Rome I Regulation).

We may amend these Terms for valid reasons (e.g. changes in law, new features). For registered users, we will announce material changes in the App or by e-mail at least 30 days before they take effect; if you do not object within that period, the amended Terms apply. Your right to delete your account at any time remains unaffected.

Should individual provisions of these Terms be or become invalid, the validity of the remaining provisions remains unaffected. The contract language is English.
